The lock, a wisp really, is attached to an embossed card 4.5" x 3" made by Beilby & Knotts. It comes with a Provenance Document produced by Edward John Wattenbach in October 2024. Dr John Bowring MP, (a friend of Edward Blaquiere, author of Narrative of a Second Visit to Greece, including Facts connected with The Last Days of Lord Byron published 1825), was Honorary Secretary of the London Greek Committee and corresponded with Byron - see Byron's Letters and Journals, edited by Leslie A Marchand, Vols 10 & 11. He was also one of the founder members of the Anti-Corn Law League who's chairman was George Wilson. Edward John Wattenbach was the great great great grandson of George Wilson.
