Nelson Hood (Sir Alexander Nelson Hood, 5th Duke of Bronte, who was Private Secretary to Mary of Teck as Princess of Wales from 1901 to 1910). The letters are in repsonse to a request to dedicate the book to the Princess of Wales. This wish was granted subject to the book containing nothing controversial. There is also a letter from a Lady in Waiting thanking Crofton for the specially bound copy sent to the Princess and a photograph of said book.
