1827. 7" x 4.5" folded. The letter is written from Highwood Hill, the house he purchased on his retirement and moved to in 1826. He was forced to let the house in 1830 after his son, William's, dairy business failed, which he had backed. This letter is to Edward Parry to give him the name Benjamin Smith, an 18 year old, who Wilberforce should have mentioned in a previous letter. It is signed W Wilberforce. Transcript available.
