Corners bumped. 2 vols bound as one with half title to Vol 1, clipped. Both title pages present. The facsimile, which is torn, not affecting text acts as a frontis to Vol 2. The title pages mentions a portrait of Byron and a View of Newstead. The View of Newstead is the frontis to Vol 1, but there is no Portrait of Byron, only the facsimile. This would appear to be the french text edition of CORRESPONDENCE OF LORD BYRON, with a friend, including his letters to his mother, written from Portugal, Spain, Greece, and the shores of the Mediterranean, in 1809, 1810 and 1811." published by Galignani in three volumes in English also in 1825. The publication of this book was stopped in England by a decree obtained by Byron's executors in the Court of Chancery. The version that was published in England in 1824 is entitles RECOLLECTIONS OF THE LIFE OF LORD BYRON, from the year 1808 to the end of 1814 etc. Chew p.209 English 3 volume edition
